Learn More About the Greenway Conservancy’s Operations & Decision-Making Processes

Since our non-profit maintains, programs, and improves The Greenway with a different model than other parks in Boston, we’re committed to making sure the public has insight into our operations and decision-making. You can meet our staff, attend a public meeting, or engage with us online.

The most personal way to get to know the Greenway Conservancy is by talking with our staff. Trina and Jared, our grant-funded rangers, are ambassadors in the park, ready to answer your questions. Or come volunteer and work shoulder-to-shoulder with our horticulture team. We’re frequently in attendance at community forums hosted by NEWRA, NEWNC, the Wharf District Council, Chinatown community groups, and others. You can virtually meet our entire staff through their online bios.

Our Board meets publically at least four times per year. The composition of our volunteer Board is defined by legislation (Section 11) to assure broad representation. Agendas are posted online in advance of the meetings and minutes are posted after they’re approved. Additionally, when we are working on a major project like the Greenway Carousel, the Janet Echelman sculpture, or North End improvements, we will hold dedicated public meetings in the community.
