Alex began working with the Conservancy as a fundraising consultant in 2010 and joined the staff as the Director of Development in 2019. As a consultant, she was instrumental in fundraising for signature projects including the Greenway Carousel, public art, and the Carolyn Lynch Garden. As Director of Development, she oversees all fundraising efforts and leads foundation and corporate relations for the Conservancy.

Alex consulted widely to arts and education organizations from 2009 to 2018. Previously, she served as Associate Director of Development at Raw Art Works and oversaw the YouthReach Initiative of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Alex holds a MA in American Studies from the University of Texas, Austin, and a BA in History from Rhodes College.
