Join The Greenway and our friends at the New England Aquarium, Faneuil Hall, and Boston Public Market for a Spring Scavenger Hunt! Here’s how it works:

• Follow our map (below) or create your own route to navigate through and around The Greenway.
• Stop at each location and look for a small flower sign indicating that you are in the right spot!
• Complete the photo prompt for each location.
• Be sure to end at the Greenway Carousel and enjoy a FREE ride generously sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation.
• After visiting all 8 locations, claim your prize at the Greenway table next to the Carousel!

 

 

1. New England Aquarium

These playful friends love to swim
Delighting guests at the Aquarium
So stop on by to take a peek
A visit with seals will make your week!

2. Greenway Light Blades

While you’re exploring all of Boston’s beautiful green spaces
Add these lovely lights to your list of favorite places
You can enjoy all the colors, magenta, green, and blue,
And in a few short weeks you can splash in the fountain too!

Task: Take a photo with the Light Blades on The Greenway
(Please be cautious of the maintenance taking place on the fountain when in this area)

 

3. Quincy Market

Another item on your fun list of to-do’s?
Stop by the shops we all love to peruse!
Do you need a cute gift? Or a quick bite to eat?
Quincy Market’s the place to find your next treat!

4. Historic Faneuil Hall

In Faneuil Hall, there’s so much to do
With more than 200 years of history facts too!
Stop by for a visit, and enjoy historic views,
Then after a pause come back to our clues!

5. Boston Public Market

Boston Public Market has a beautiful vision
To share food and art is our primary mission
So be sure to stop by to shop or to snack
Once you’ve been once, you’ll want to come back!

6. Carolyn Lynch Garden

Everyone has favorites, so do tell us, what’s yours?
Is it tulips? Or daisies? Or pink hellebores?
Whether you love bluebells or snowdrops or flowering trees,
We love our park’s flowers (and so do the bees!)

7. Swinging Benches

Need a quick rest? We have a place for you
To pause and relax for a moment or two.
Near the North End you’ll see flowers of varying hues
And swings made for sitting and enjoying the views!

Our Greenway Carouel is truly unique
With feathers and claws, and oh, wait, that’s a beak!
Will you choose a turtle? A lobster? A whale with a fin?
Hop on for a ride and enjoy a quick spin!
